Good news for travellers ahead of the long Buddhist Lent holiday, as PTT on Friday afternoon announced it was cutting pump prices by 0.50 baht per litre.
It was the first price reduction in the one and a half months since the government raised the excise tax on oil by two baht a litre.
Effective on Saturday, the new retail prices were set at 32.94 baht for 91 octane petrol, 29.34 baht for gasohol 95, 28.54 baht for gasohol 91, and 24.09 baht for B5 bio-diesel.
Other brands were expected to follow PTT's lead.
