Mice players want state support, long-term plan
The Thai Mice (meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition) industry requires more co-operation between the private and public sectors and a long-term strategic plan to make the country a leading destination, say industry leaders.
Seree Wangpaichitr, dean of the tourism and hospitality industry faculty at Rangsit University, said the private sector had put a lot of effort and jobs into promoting Mice business.
"From time to time, government support is needed such as a promotional budget or tax incentives," said the former Tourism Authority of Thailand governor.
