YLG Group cautions gold speculators
Selling now, buying later 'the right plan'
Speculators should be cautious about short-term profit-taking with gold because of risks from a strong baht, warns the YLG Group, a gold bullion trader.
Tipa Nawawattanasub, chief executive of YLG Bullion and Futures, said gold prices have been stable the past three months, making it hard for speculators to make profits on a daily basis.
"As long as the baht remains strong, chances for [short-term] profit-making are unlikely," said Ms Tipa. "This is in contrast to the beginning of the year when gold prices were highly volatile."
