The country’s exports in 2010 are expected to be up 22.9 per cent on last year, the Foreign Trade Studies Centre at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) said on Tuesday.
The exports were up 36.6 per cent in the first half of the year. However, the export growth is likely to slow to 11.8 per cent in the second half, the centre reported.
Risk factors for the export sector were the fragile global economic recovery, the ongoing baht’s appreciation and the devaluation of Vietnam’s dong.
