BAAC identifies two groups for debt help

NPLs involved total B60-70bn

The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives (BAAC) has outlined proposals to resolve 662,000 non-performing loans valued at 60-70 billion baht, says executive vice-president Ennoo Suesuwan.

The bank has two groups of NPLs with an average debt of 100,000 baht each.

The first group comprises 52,000 members of the Farmers Rehabilitation and Development Fund, whose problems the cabinet has tasked the BAAC with solving.
