SCM top 10 of 2010

Year-end roundups are all the rage this week, so we thought it apt to do the same for supply chain management.

SCM has received more mainstream attention this year than ever before. Not that it has been a cover story in the media, but within both public and private sector organisations the SCM body of knowledge is being recognised and used to facilitate post-recession recovery efforts. As Trevor Miles of Kinaxis wrote, "Supply chain is becoming known as the sweet spot for affecting competitive advantage and operational and financial success." In that spirit, here is our Weekly Link Top 10 of 2010:

1. Alignment: As Dr John Gattorna writes and teaches, owners and managers are generally good at strategising but not so good at following or executing those strategies. By clearly articulating the strategy and ensuring that all aspects of people, process and tools are aligned, supply chain management techniques are keys to delivering the intended results.
