Jay Mart (JMART), the country's leading mobile handset distributor, eyes huge potential growth from retail debt collection companies as a new debt collection law will demand a higher standard of professionalism in the industry.The company expects to see its revenue and profit from debt collection businesses double in 2011 from 2010. The business is operated by its subsidiary JMT Network Services.
"Mobile handsets remain the core business but debt collection is the rising star," said Apisak Sukhumvittaya, chief executive of Jay Mart.
Jay Mart reported total revenue of 3.97 billion baht with 56.47 million baht in net profit for the third quarter of 2010. Debt collection contributed 7% of revenue but 40% of net profit.
