Chiang Mai joining 'Smarter City' ranks

IBM has chosen Chiang Mai as one of 24 municipalities around the world to receive technology and services as part of its Smarter Cities Challenge.

IBM has awarded US$50 million worth of technology and services to help 100 municipalities across the globe over the next three years. The scheme is a competitive grant programme to help drive business growth, improve municipal services, encourage citizen engagement and increase efficiency in selected cities.
