Asian stock markets lost ground as the euro hit a decade low against Asia's major currencies, even as gold has been falling since last Friday on profit-taking while the US dollar gained.
Thai shares lost 2.03% or 21.54 points to close at 1,040.83 points in thin trade worth 22.10 billion baht, following other Asian markets on a dive prompted by concerns that Greece would default on debt repayments.
Foreign investors were net sellers of 458.74 million baht, while brokers sold 263.58 million baht.
