Exhibitors told to get ready

Thai exhibitors must improve their creativity and approach foreign customers ahead of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, says the Thailand Exhibition Association (TEA).

President Pravit Sribanditmongkol said most of the operators in the business had no idea how to start bidding for offshore events to be staged in Thailand.

"Thai exhibitors have neither the connections to access foreign customers nor any ideas how to do so, plus our language skills are often too poor to communicate with them. While we don't know the foreign markets, many foreign exhibitors know the Thai exhibition market better than we do," said Mr Pravit.
