Despite an expected oversupply, new and resale condominium markets in the inner city remained healthy in the first half with the take-up rates as high as 53%.
During the six-month period, 5,295 condominium units were launched in inner-city locations, which include Sukhumvit Sois 1 to 71, Silom-Sathorn, Central Lumpini and the riverside. A total of 2,493 units, or 47%, were acquired, according to research by the listed developer Raimon Land Plc.
Including newly launched units carried from the second quarter of last year, the take-up rate rose to 53%, said Simon Dervill, the company's deputy vice-president for business development.
