The Fiscal Policy Research Institute Foundation has adjusted its gross domestic product growth projection for 2011 to four per cent, down from its previous forecast of 4.5 per cent, FPRI director Kanit Saengsuphan said on Wednesday.
Mr Kanit said the revision was a result of the severe impact of the continuing global economic crisis.
His institute maintained its growth forecast for 2012 at 4.5 per cent, but the figure could be again revised if the adverse effects of the economic crises in the US and Europe are more critical than expected.
