The Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) plans to propose to the National Energy Policy Council next week that the price of natural gas for vehicles be increased by 2-4 baht a kilogramme to help ease PTT's accumulated losses.
PTT previously claimed it has been suffering huge financial losses of as much as 27 billion baht due to the government's policy to freeze the retail price of NGV at 8.50 baht per kilogramme.
The Northeastern Transport Business Association's senior adviser Apichart Prairungruang said his group should not be affected much if the NGV price was slightly increased due to high demand.
