The cabinet has approved the appointment of Payungsak Chartsuthipol as chairman of the state disaster insurance promotion fund committee, Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong said on Tuesday.
Mr Payungsak is the chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries.
Other panel members include permanent secretary for finance Issara Wongkusolkij, director of the Public debt Management Office, and the secretary general of the committee for insurance business control and promotion.
