Valentine's Day spending is expected to rise by 5.13% year-on-year to 2.8 billion baht, but consumers are still worried about higher living costs, according to a survey.
Roses are on sale at Pak Klong Talad fresh market in Bangkok. Flowers, especially red and pink roses, will be in high demand soon as Valentine’s Day approaches, with prices more than doubling during the occasion. JETJARAS NA RANONG
The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce surveyed 1,206 respondents and found the public paid moderate attention to Valentine's Day, with teenagers the most attuned, said Thanavath Phonvichai, director of the university's Centre for Economic and Business Forecasting.
