Shell plans to spend more than 1 billion baht this year on pump expansion and a facelift for its existing stations in a move to recapture the No.2 oil retail ranking next year.
Pissawan Achanapornkul, the chairwoman of Shell Co of Thailand, said it will add 10 pump stations this year for a total of 570, with six owned by Shell and four via dealers or sales agents.
Each pump requires a budget of 70 million baht per unit, with development expected to start in the first quarter this year.
