Border economy projected to hit B1.8 trillion in four years

Thailand expects 15% annual growth in border trade until the end of its 11th National Social and Economic Development Plan in 2016.
The country hopes border trade will be worth 1 trillion baht this year after reaching 899.78 billion last year and 778 billion in 2010.
Chanvit Amatamatucharti, deputy secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), said the 11th plan projected border trade worth 1.8 trillion baht by 2016.
