Egco Group Plc, Thailand's first independent power producer, is committed to expanding renewable energy to 300 megawatts over the next several years from 46 MW now.
Egco’s plant in Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Khanom district has a generation capacity of 749 MW.
President Sahust Pratuknukul said the company will focus mainly on solar farms and wind turbine projects, saying biogas and biomass are relatively mature in Thailand and that owners of these raw materials prefer to develop the projects themselves.
