Petrol poised to exceed B40

Local retail oil prices may jump by three baht a litre to exceed 40 baht in the very near future should tax and levy collection to state Oil Fund be included, warn local oil retailers.
Higher energy prices are also on the horizon as global demand rises on recovering economies and tightening supply from oil refiners, they added.
Siri Jirapongphan, executive director of the Petroleum Institute of Thailand, said spending in Europe should return to normal soon after fears over Greece's debt crisis have eased.
