The Bank of Thailand has been carefully monitoring the baht this week, says deputy governor Suchada Kirakul.

Suchada: Monitoring ebb and flow closely

The currency strengthened by about 10 satang each day on Thursday and Friday after a second Greek bailout was announced.

    It seems the Central bank is more concerned about those who speculate in Thai baht rather than what effect its overly inflated value will have on imports, exports and the economy in future... It would have been wiser to float the baht and like water, let it find it's own level.
