Pump prices down again

PTT and Bangchak Petroleum announced on Saturday they are cutting pump prices by 0.40 baht a litre for all kinds of fuel and 0.20 baht per litre for gasohol E85.

The price reduction takes effect from 5am on Sunday.

The new retail prices of fuel at PTT and Bangchak outlets in Bangkok and nearby provinces will be 41.65 baht a litre for petrol 91, 38.23 baht for gasohol 95, 36.48 baht for gasohol 91, 35.48 baht for gasohol E20, 22.78 baht for gasohol E85 and 30.43 baht per litre for diesel.

    d1: they do it in the USA too, but it is not big news, so it is not announced in the news, unless it is a big jump

    D1: they will do so. When the govt stops fiddling with knee jerk price changes to stem negative publicity about inflation.

    Two price changes in 24 hours?!

    When will these companies start using a 7, 14 or 30 day moving average as the basis for their retail prices. Doing so would eliminate the need for near daily price changes.
