As ironic as it may sound, carbon dioxide, a major contributor to global warming, can be captured and used to cool offices, reducing the country's carbon footprint.
ITC’s new head office, the first structure using CO2 thermal storage in Thailand. The lower part of the building, where the CO2 is kept, would normally be installed underground.
The industrial refrigeration, freezing and cold-storage firm ITC Group is installing the world's first thermal ice storage at its office, using pure carbon dioxide instead of freon as a refrigerant.
