Industry confidence up in April

Thai industries sentiment index for April went up to 104.0, from 102.1 reported in March, Payungsak Chartsuthipol, chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), said on Thursday.
Industry confidence had now stood above the 100 level for three straight months, sending a signal that the production sector was likely to return to normal, after being hard hit by the great flood late last year, said Mr Payungsak.
The FTI made an industry confidence survey in April, involvikng 1,086 manufacturers in 42 industry groups.
