Expo builds on strong China-Asean momentum
Myanmar president a star attraction as investors seek new horizons.

Trade and investment cooperation between China and Asean was reinforced last week at the ninth annual China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO), where the focus of attention was on one Asean country that was on very few investors’ lists just a year ago.
Thailand’s deputy commerce minister, Poom Sarapol, opens the Thai booth at CAEXPO in Nanning, Guanxi province.
Organisers of the event in Nanning, in Guanxi province, made a point of inviting Myanmar President Thein Sein as the event’s featured guest. In his remarks he gave every indication that his rapidly reforming country was ready to take its place in all Asean-China activities.
