Securities firms warn of AEC skills shortage

Headhunters scour region for top talent

The securities industry is experiencing a shortage of personnel with skill sets that could serve the new business requirements under industry liberalisation, and such staff are being aggressively headhunted by brokerages.

A few months ago, Naruemol Artamnuayvipas became the first to be recruited.

The former director at KGI Securities, who is recognised as a pioneer in derivative warrants, became the new managing director at Asia Plus Securities.

    Have family members in this area of business, and they get offers constantly especially from Singapore companies, so wages are going to be a lot higher in Thailand than they used to be..and they were quite good already...happy days (:
