Media and advertising firms should adjust themselves to cope with changes arising from the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, says the Advertising Association of Thailand.
Honorary chairman Witawat Jayapani said the new integrated market will comprise 601 million people, and consumer behavior will change considerably with the adoption of new technology, particularly third-generation (3G) mobile systems.
"The new 3G technology will see new market opportunities and media outlets. Consumers will catch up with these trends in a borderless market. Thais will be no different from their counterparts in Europe and the US," he said.
