BBLAM: Thailand steady as world economy droops

Economic prospects over the next six months look positive, with continued investment and consumption from the public and private sectors offsetting the sluggish global economy, says BBL Asset Management (BBLAM).
Chief executive Voravan Tarapoom said Thailand remains an attractive destination within Asia thanks to the country's steady growth.
But she warned rising global inflation and the problem of high public debt in the US and Europe will continue to weigh on sentiment in the long term.
