The Thai Rice Exporters Association has stepped in with an offer to help exports of rice held in the government crop pledging stockpile, reports said.

The association’s president, Korbsuk Iamsuree, and other executive members on Friday had discussion with Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyaprom and other senior officials at the ministry.

The meeting agreed that the Ministry of Commerce and the association would work together under the rice pledging scheme to improve the living standards of farmers.
