Designer Phongsathorn La-iad-on believes he has created just the right bicycle for Bangkok's many commuting challenges.

It takes Phongsathorn La-iad-on a half-hour to ride from his house to his office by bicycle, regardless of the time of day.

The executive director of FiF Design Studio, a product design and development firm, has been using a bicycle for almost half his life. He is a member of a group of bikers who call themselves "holiday bike riders", which originated from people who used bicycles in their daily lives in Bangkok.

    So he is selling bicycles for 5 times the price of those at BigC and the same price as a cheap motorbike.
    I have an all terrain bike, 21 gears, independent suspension, fitted with lights, odometer, alarm, panniers, etc, total cost well below 10,000 Baht.
