Kasikorn Securities (K-Sec) has projected a 20% rise in net profit this year. It also aims to increase its market share through provincial expansion to 7% next year.
However, it will not meet its target of increasing revenue by 35% to about 1.8 billion baht this year, from 1.3 billion last year, as average daily stock trading value is at only 31 billion baht, lower than its projection of 34 billion, said executive chairman Nattharin Talthong.
The opening of some provincial branches has also been delayed due to technical factors.
