Poll: People like first car scheme

Seven out of every 10 people support the government’s first time car-buyers programme, Nida Poll of the National Institute of Development Administration (Nida) reported on Wednesday.

The pollsters surveyed 1,248 people of all education levels and occupations nationwide, seeking their opinions on the first car scheme on Nov 16 and 17.

I don't think its a good policy by encouraging people to go out and buy a new car. It just adds to the already heavy congestion.

The policy helps the middle class and not the lower class, as they are the ones who can afford to buy a new car anyway. Why not use the money that it has cost to run this policy in increasing the efficiency of the pubic transport. The buses are old, noisy, and overly crowed during morning and evening rush hour.

I think the policy should have not been encouraging people to buy a car, but to encourage to use the public transport. In the current condition of the public transport discourages people not to use it

Do you like it when the government gives you money? Of course the answer will be:YES
If you ask:Do you want the government to implement a policy that will absolutely guarantee worse traffic, increased private debt and increased pollution? NO

So, what exactly was the question?
