Believing in a false economy. Do you mean like the USA? That is a major false economy. But it is surviving. Somehow.

First - car manufacturers are using antiquated business models to pursue unsustainable goals. Second - domestic car production is up because of unsustainable government subsidies that are setting people up for debt. This temporary boost in consumption will be replaced eventually by crippling debt, market collapse, and the bursting of an auto industry bubble much like the US experienced a few years ago.

D8 : Oh...I should of course have mentioned the reduction of corporate tax as well. All in all a pretty bad policy for the country as a whole,I'd say.

D8 : This has some 130 billion baht to do with the government. 100 billion for 2012 and 30 more for 2013 in tax exemptions,if the policy is not extended. We could mention the negative enviromental impact, increased traffic congestion, lost opportunities to improve the public transportation network. The exact loss in baht has yet to be figured out. Not to mention the ASEAN Free Trade Area agreement which Malaysia,Indonesia,India,Korea and China insists this policy violates. Need I say more?

The main point is that production was ever so slightly disrupted this time last year as I remember somthing to do with floods caused partly by human error.

I really do not see what it has to do with this government it is down to the manufacturers and they are not Thai are they.It is good news for the country all the same.

Dis#5, wonder why every countries are chasing for FDI? Technology transfer, employment, taxes that's why. Go figure. Debt to GDP now stand at a low of 42%. You know the debt ratio for future? You either just speculating or you are a genius.

Discussion1. Eric are the car companies Thai? No they are not. Are the profits going to people in Thailand? No they are not.
You think that the public debt is well managed. I disagree it it is beginning to spiral out of control. Just wait to the losses from the rice pledging scheme plus the cost of all the populist policies kick in.
