H.I.S. Co, one of Japan's major travel agencies, is setting up a charter airline based in Thailand to shuttle the surging numbers of tourists between the two countries in the initial stage of operation.
The Tokyo-based firm is due to make an official announcement about the formation of Asia Pacific Airlines (APA) in Japan today.
The airline will support the company's strategic growth in this part of the world, a company source in Bangkok said yesterday.
