One less excuse not to eat your veggies

Revolutionary device developed by a university rids vegetables of chemical contaminants cheaply and efficiently

Thailand's first high-efficiency vegetable washing machine has been developed with the support of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

Basil leaves are being washed in the machine, which claims to eliminate chemical remnants.

About a year ago, the NSTDA awarded a grant to researchers in Ubon Ratchathani University's mechanical engineering department to work on a pilot vegetable washing machine, and the device is now finished.

    the government should also find a way to inspect the veggies and minimize the chemicals. The long term cost to the health care system must be huge
