K-Research forecasts export resurgence in 2013

The export sector will likely return to double-digit growth next year, driving the Thai economy, says the Kasikorn Research Center (K-Research).

Deputy managing director Pimonwan Mahujchariyawong said the centre projects export growth of 12.5% in 2013 compared with 4% this year.

The improvement will be supported by the strong economy in Asia and the coming Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2016, she said.

Dear Bangkok Post editors, please stop posting this pro banking industry propaganda. These businesses are not your friends. They are notoriously irresponsible corporations whose interest is the near term expansion of credit. Banks have not only wrecked the world economy with false visions of growth, but only 15 years ago they imploded the Thai economy. To suggest a resurgence of exports in 2013 is plainly laughable given the economies of import nations. But such projections do encourage Thai industries to expand and take on credit. This is not news you are publishing. It is carefully edited spin designed to maximize bank profits.
