Arip identifies top five trends to watch in 2013

Commart organiser Arip Plc has identified hybrid "phablets", smart televisions, personal cloud storage, multiple shopfront e-commerce and personal 3D printers as the top five technology trends.
Prasit Worachatrawanit, director for new media and e-commerce, said the advent of full commercial third-generation (3G) wireless broadband services will stimulate the smart-device market, especially smartphones and tablets.
The phablet, a portmanteau of the words "phone" and "tablet", is expected to become highly popular next year.
