EA, AKP on track to become the first MAI listings of 2013

Energy Absolute (EA) and Akkhie Prakarn (AKP) will be the first two new firms trading on the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) in 2013, listing later this month.
EA, the operator of the largest solar farm in Asia, will float 560 million shares in an initial public offering priced at 5.5 baht each. The IPO distribution is scheduled for Jan 14-16, and the shares will trade on the MAI on Jan 23. The company appointed as lead underwriters Finansia Syrus, SCBS, and Capital Nomura Securities.
EA is a biodiesel operator and plans to complete its construction of a solar farm with 278 megawatts of capacity by 2015.
