Personal income tax revenue seen climbing 15%

- +

Revenue from personal income tax is expected to rise by 15% in fiscal 2013 despite a new tax structure that will cost 7 billion baht, says Satit Rungkasiri, director-general of the Revenue Department.

Major changes this year include more brackets for personal income tax, separate filing for married couples and a corporate income tax cut to 20%.

The changes have triggered concerns over lost tax revenue at a time of big government spending plans.
