Credit rating unchanged

Ratings agency Standard & Poor's has maintained Thailand's sovereign credit rating unchanged at BBB+ with a stable outlook, but it warned that political stability and the long-term impact of fiscal programmes remain issues to watch.
Kim Eng Tan, senior director for Asia-Pacific sovereign ratings, said Thailand's economic fundamentals remain strong but that uncertainties remain.
"We have seen the political situation a bit uncertain in recent years," he said. "However, it hasn't affected businesses to a large extent yet."
