Credit card use 'boosts GDP'

The more plastic you use, the more you are helping the Thai economy - provided the plastic is your credit or ATM card, that is.
The growth in the use of electronic payment products, such as credit and debit cards, added US$1.8 billion to Thailand's gross domestic product (GDP) over the past four years, according to a study conducted for Visa by Moody's Analytics.
Visa summarised conclusions of the study on Monday in a press release.
