New SEC rules for financial product ads

The Capital Market Supervisory Board recently approved amending the rules governing advertising and sales promotions for all business operators in the capital market, says the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Secretary-general Vorapol Socatiyanurak said effective this quarter, the streamlined rules set the same advertising and sales promotion standards for all businesses.

Ads for financial products must highlight their features and provide details on returns, payment conditions and risk.
