CPF tries to stem carbon footprint

133 products receive carbon label to date

The SET-listed Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc (CPF), the CP Group's flagship company, has announced it is making progress in its anti-global warming efforts with 133 products receiving carbon footprint labels to date.

Kularb Kimsri, an assistant vice-president for global standard systems, said the 133 products come from CPF and other food business subsidiaries and are for both domestic consumption and export.

CPF started its carbon footprint project in 2008, basing it on the British PAS 2050 standard.
