The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 0.70%, or 10.59 points, to 1,515.40 on Wednesday.
Total trading value was 59.85 billion baht, with 11.64 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index gained 0.79%, or 7.51 points, to 960.17 in trade worth 30.9 billion baht.
MAI jumped 1.13%, or 6.48 points, to 578.97 in transactions worth 4.1 billion baht.
Foreign investors bought a net 3.19 billion baht. Individual investors sold 33.63 billion baht, followed by brokers (412.39 million) and institutional investors (153.35 million).
Year-to-date, foreigners were the largest net buyers 76.06 billion baht), followed by brokers (19.58 billion). Local individuals were the biggest sellers, at 83.65 billion baht, followed by institutional investors (11.99 billion).
Shares of Ekachai Medical Care Plc (EKH), the operator of the 100-bed Ekachai Hospital in Samut Sakhon province, made a successful debut on the SET on Wednesday. The shares surged 116.39% to 6.60 baht from the initial public offering price of 3.05 baht.
