Total trading value was 53.98 billion baht, with 12.82 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index dropped 2.40%, or 22.10 points, to 899.38 in trade worth 34.34 billion baht.
MAI sank 2.98%, or 15.83 points, to 515.08 in transactions worth 1.53 billion baht.
Foreign investors bought a net 3.42 billion baht, followed by retail investors (1.93 billion). Institutional investors sold a net 3.29 billion baht, followed by brokers (2.06 billion).
Year-to-date, foreigners were net buyers of 122.3 billion baht, followed by brokers (15.98 billion). Small investors were the biggest sellers, at 92.9 billion baht, followed by institutional investors (45.38 billion).
