Total trading value was 39.69 billion baht, with 8.16 billion shares changed hands.
SET50 index rose 1.05% or 9.88 points, to 950.09 in trade worth 22.9 billion baht.
MAI jumped 1.42%, or 8.32 points, to 594.91 in transactions worth 2 billion baht.
Foreigners bought a net 1.25 billion baht, followed by brokers (333.61 million) and local institutions (200.78 million). Individual investors sold 1.78 billion baht.
Year-to-date, foreigners remained the largest net buyers (79.09 billion baht), followed by brokers (24.16 billion). Local individuals were the biggest sellers, at 85.59 billion baht, followed by institutional investors (17.65 billion).
