SET closes up 6.96 to 1,564.69

The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 0.45%, or 6.96 points, to 1,564.69 on Tuesday.

Total trading value was 41.9 billion baht, with 7.8 billion shares changed hands.

SET50 index gained 0.34%, or 3.31 points, to 990.69 in trade worth 21.8 billion baht.

MAI advanced 0.77%, or 4.30 points, to 565.19 in transactions worth 2.8 billion baht.

Foreigners bought a net 1.7 billion baht, followed by institutional investors (1.4 billion). Individual investors sold 1.7 billion baht, followed by brokers (1.5 billion).

Year-to-date, institutional investors were net buyers of 39.2 billion baht, followed by foreigners (8.7 billion). Individual investors sold 46.8 billion baht, followed by brokers (1.2 billion baht).
