I have been thinking about buying a house of my own. My income is about 800,000 baht a year. I dare not aim for a luxurious one, but I don't want to buy a tiny room or a townhouse next to a slum. A constraint is my age, I guess. I'm 45 now. I don't know the best house I can get, but I want to live near the city without tightening my belt so I can accrue some savings before retiring at 60 or a few years later.
