SET down 3.18 to 1,393.44 at opening

Thai stocks opened down 0.23% at 10.01am on Thursday.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index opened at 1,393.44 points, down 3.18 points from Wednesday’s close. Trade value was 1.71 billion baht, with 306.41 million shares changed hands.

The SET50 index opened at 947.87 points, down 2.79 points, or 0.29%, with total trade value of 1.13 billion baht.

The MAI index went up 1.26  points, or 0.32%, to stand at 400.72 points, with total transaction value of 25.78 million baht.

Leading trade by value were the new IPO stock Golden Lime or SUTHA (+7.57%), IVL (-1.72%), PTT (-0.33%), KBANK (-0.27%) and AOT (unchanged).

SUTHA produces and distributes lime (calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide) and calcium carbonate, which are widely used in production process of various industries, such as steel, chemical, sugar, mine, and pulp and paper industries. The stock was traded at 3.98 baht at 10.01am against the IPO price of 3.70 baht.
