Total trading value was 56.15 billion baht, with 10.77 billion shares changed hands.
The SET50 index soared 20.16 points or 1.98% to 1,038.63 in trade worth 31.69 billion baht.
The MAI index rose 5.01 points or 0.84% to 604.41 points, with total transaction value of 3.88 billion baht.
Foreign investors were largest net buyers of 3.68 billion baht, followed by institutional investors (2.61 billion baht) and brokers (634.62 million baht) while retail investors were sole net sellers of 6.93 billion baht.
