The SET50 index dropped 14.75 points to 1,040.98 in trade worth 28.37 billion baht.
The MAI index bucked the trend, inching up 3.01 points or 0.41% to 729.85, with total transaction value of 5 billion baht.
Local individuals and institutions were net buyers of 3.59 billion baht and 1.19 billion respectively. Foreign investors and brokers were net sellers of 3.54 billion and 1.24 million baht respectively.
